8th Grade Exposition of Student Learning at Urban Promise Academy

On February 17, 2011 Urban Promise Academy held its 8th Grade Exposition of Student Learning.

UPA’s expo is an opportunity for students’ families and community members to get an inside look at the school’s work, and a chance for its students to connect and share learning with a “real world” audience from all walks of life.  The 8th Grade interactive presentations cut across Science, Social Studies, and English subject areas.

On display in the Social Studies Expo Room were the historical portrait drawings created by the students under the instruction of By Any Dreams Necessary Artist in Residence, Octavio De La Paz.

It was an amazing night of teaching, learning, art and community.
